We’re just over 2 weeks out from the TORQUE Batt We’re just over 2 weeks out from the TORQUE Battle for Cash II powerlifting meet on November 4th !

Last month, Torque’s PL team took to the platform at @wrpf_canada @catalanoevents Fall Fury, and we followed them through their last heavy squat session, and also throughout their competition to get a peek at the mindset, and the process of getting on that platform. As you dial in those last few training sessions, we hope this gives you that last push to the finish 💪

We’re also highlighting the community aspect of powerlifting - once you’re on the platform, it’s just you and the bar, but everything up to, and after, there’s a whole community around you, with everyone doing their part to make sure everyone is at their best.

Sanctioned by the WRPF, you can count on another great meet here at Torque. 

We’re using the same setup as we had in June (see the last photos in this slide), but we’re keeping the atmosphere and hype of last December when we hosted Battle for Cash 1 (see the lifter photos).

45 lifters. Tested/Untested. Raw and classic Raw divisions. 

We’re giving away cash prizes and sponsor giveaways to be announced in the coming weeks.

Lifters getting in one last heavy squat session leading up to @catalanoevents Fall Fury, coming up in just over a week from today.

Torque Barbell media producer @remotecontrolkev will also be the official videographer at the event, and we will have some Torque members also officiating for @wrpf.ontario 

Needless to say, Torque Barbell will be out in full force for another big competition 💪

If you see our athletes in the gym this week, wish them a good recovery week, and good luck for their meet next week !

If you’ve watched the videos, or know the story - Dan’s journey into strength training actually starts with an injury.

As an elite level athlete, Dan pushes his body to its absolute limits on a regular basis - problem is, sometimes you push too far, and that unfortunately leads to injuries in some cases. Here’s some insight as to how Dan has not only dealt with injuries, but come back from them and returned to training and competition.
