My blood test results - as you can see, my testosterone is through the roof
My blood test results – as you can see, my testosterone is through the roof. Funny story I had forgotten I had a blood test to do this morning and the night before was.. let’s just say it was suboptimal.

In this article I will show you how to naturally boost your testosterone so you get maximal results from all the hard work you put in eating right and working out.

What is testosterone? A quick break-down.

Testosterone is a steroid hormone secreted primarily by the testicles of males and, to a lesser extent, the ovaries of females. In men, testosterone plays a big part in the development of male reproductive tissues – but what I’m really writing this article for is the secondary effects: Testosterone levels impact things like muscle mass, bone mass, and the growth of body hair. Testosterone is a majorly important hormone when it comes to health and well-being. Hell, it can even prevent osteoporosis. For guys this stuff is pretty important. Testosterone essentially impacts libido, mood, and how your body looks.

Okay, now that that’s cleared up, let’s jump into it.

#1 – Sleep

“Holy Crap. That’s all this Coach Klaud guy talks about. Sleep this. Sleep that. Will he ever shut up about sleep?” – The Short answer is no. I keep harping on people and their sleep because I know most people have shitty sleep. Most people go to bed way too late, toss and turn for a few hours, then go off to over-stress their bodies during the day. Guess what? You’re essentially killing yourself.

There are several studies to support what I’m saying, which is that poor sleep translate to poor testosterone levels which translates to bad workouts, poor libido, and a host of other problems.

Solution: Get that 8+ Hours of sleep a night. A bonus you can give yourself is turning off all electronic devices 30-45 minutes before you go to bed. Read a book. Meditate. Mumble to yourself until you fall asleep. I don’t care as long as you’re not on Netflix or Facebook wrecking your test levels. Improve sleep quality by following what I say and you’ll feel AND perform better.

#2 – Lift heavy or sprint at least once a week.

Science says that resistance training increases growth hormone and testosterone levels. Look at those guys doing heavy deadlifts in the gym or getting under a heavy squat bar. Most of them are using exercise to force their bodies to create testosterone. You don’t need to powerlift to gain this effect, sprinting has also been proven to crank up test levels. The body will adapt to what it needs to adapt to. If you lift heavy or sprint, you will boost testosterone.

If you sit on the couch all day eating Cheetos you will get really good at boosting estrogen. Please don’t be surprised if all that junk food and lack of exercise gives you boobs, gives you that pregnant look, and makes you cry more than your girlfriend she forces you to watch chick flicks. Let’s try to avoid this, okay?

Solution: You need to lift heavy and move fast. If you do this expect to pack on muscle and feel like a beast. There are even studies to support this type of training will help you lose fat and lean out.

#3 – Eat more (healthy) fats

So far I’ve shown studies that sleep and hard training will increase testosterone. So it’s only right to include a study showing diet can have a positive effect on exercise, and testosterone. I’ll keep this section short. Fats, like those in avocados and coconuts/coconut oil are healthy. Eggs, I mean the entire egg, not just the yolk or white, are cholesterol creators. This may sound like a bad thing, but this is actually a good thing. Cholesterol is essentially the master hormone. If you do not have enough you won’t be able to go down the chain and make testosterone. So including some fried eggs once in a while will not kill you, they may do the opposite and raise your testosterone. I prefer you eat organic/free-range/pasture raised foods, but hey, that’s just me caring about you being the best you.

Solution: Eat good fats! Do not shy away from coconut oil or avocados or eggs.

#4 – Supplements – Rant time. Hold on to your hats.

“Wait, doesn’t the title say Top 3?” Uh, yeah. I wrote the article, I think I know what number I put in the title. The reason there is a #4 is because there is without a doubt someone out there who will e-mail me and ask: “Hey Klaud what about Test-Booster X? – They say on the bottle you can increase your testosterone 5000%, turn into the hulk, gain 40lbs of lean mass in a month and increase your deadlift to 950lbs.” – My response would be to delete the email. But when you do that, people usually think you didn’t get it so they send emails OVER AND OVER until you reply. So this is my insurance against that.

When it comes to supplements to boost testosterone, you want to make sure you are following the above 3 tips. I am very serious about this. If you’re not following them and you take supplements instead of fixing the big 3, you’re essentially forgoing a Ferrari body and putting an annoying muffler on a Honda Civic. Sure, you might see some increased test, but don’t expect it to last without addressing Sleep, Lifting Heavy/Sprints, and eating the proper fats.

I’ve tried a lot of testosterone boosters in my day. Most of them are completely useless. Supplements with Tribulus or Horny Goat Weed will increase your libido, but this is not the same when it comes to boosting actual testosterone numbers.

The only supplement that I trust to boost testosterone is Mike Mahler’s Aggressive Strength Testosterone Booster. I’ve used it. You see those numbers at the top of the article? Those are my test numbers from last year after I finished a cycle of his supplement stack. It’s the only Test Booster I’ll stand behind because it actually works, and I have the numbers to prove it. (If you want me to find the bloodwork and upload everything I had done, I gladly will, but you’ll have to pay me for my time searching for it all.)

Mike Mahler has an expanding line of supplements available through his online store here.

Conclusion: Follow the 3 tips. Fix your sleep. Lift heavy. Sprint. Eat good food, including good fats. Not only will your testosterone improve, you will gain muscle mass, you’ll feel more energetic, and you’ll become an irresistible sex machine. Okay, I can’t guarantee the last one, but I thought it sounded cool. Anyway, go forth and follow these 3 commandments for gains!
