As we just celebrated our 3rd anniversary here at TORQUE, and we enter our 4th year of business – I want to take the time to show people where we came from, how it started, and how we got to where we are. Another Great Year at Torque

We want to thank you – our members – for a very successful 2014. 10402015_376048995878740_280848716735334630_nWe’re approaching 2 years since we moved locations and couldn’t be happier with the community we’ve built. We’ve had nearly 20,000 visits, over 1500 new faces, and have grown from 4 trainers to 14. Our trainers specialize in multiple areas including – powerlifting, bodybuilding, bikini/figure prep, athletes, physio/rehab, weight loss, general fitness, and have added services like massage therapy, Fascial Stretching, and chiropractic – to offer our members a full range of services to keep you healthy and strong.

Torque Barbell and Universal Video

The 2014 Canada Universal Road Trip (URT) through Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal is finally here! On this URT, we feature Antoine Vaillant, Tony Searle, Eric “naturalguy” Schwartz (the host), Callie Bundy and special Animal guest, Frank “Wrath” McGrath. Episode 1 kicks off with a great training session at Torque Barbell. There, Antoine and Tony pay it forward, training with the fans and providing helpful tips. Later in the day, Team Universal heads to the Toronto Pro expo and the night show to mingle with the fans and root for one of their own. The craziness starts now.

At the beginning of June – UniversalUSA came to Torque Barbell during the Toronto Pro Show competition weekend.

Whats New at Torque

Torque Barbell Club is quickly becoming the “go-to” gym in Toronto for serious athletes and competitors, as well as fitness enthusiasts who are tired of busy commercial gyms, shitty equipment, and bad trainers.

Here at Torque we pride ourselves in having the most authentic training facility within the GTA. Our members and client’s results speak for themselves. Hard work and dedication = amazing results.

If you are a regular at the gym you’ll notice we’ve picked up some new equipment lately. We recently added another lat pulldown, seated row, as well as a cable cross-over machine. We also picked up a Safety Squat Bar (video here on how to use this bar) so now you have no excuse not to squat (you can use this bar even with shoulder/upper body injuries).

We want to thank all of our members for helping spread the word to friends and family and helping us become what Torque is today. You guys are the ones that keep the doors open, and we are very thankful for all your support.
